Class 1        Christmas Cracker Starter Stakes – Fences will be cross poles.

Special Rosette for the best fancy dress

 

Class 2        Festive ‘Horse & Hound’– Fences will be small uprights. The first half of the course jumped on your horse/pony and the second half on foot with your hound.  The fastest time with the fewest faults wins!

Class 3        Rudolph’s Pairs – This class will be split into two sections:-

3a                 Open 50cms Pairs – Fences not to exceed 50cms

3b                Open 80cms Pairs – Fences not to exceed 80cms

Class 4        Santa’s fancy dress scurry  one round against the clock.

4a               Open 65cms Scurry  – Fences not to exceed 65cms

4b                 Open 75cms Scurry – Fences not to exceed 75cms

Class 5        Dengie Debut Prelim Round / Open 80cms

Class 6        Dengie Winter League Prelim Round / Open 85-90cms

                   See eligibility rules on the inside back page. Fences 85cms-90cms

Class 7        Snowman’s Accumulator – This is an open class, each fence is given a certain number of points. Each rider has 90 seconds to jump as many fences as possible; no fence can be jumped more than twice. The rider with the highest score wins. Fences will range from 60cms – 90cms

Rules

The Centre reserves the right to refuse entry without assigning any reason to any person attending the Show or to any ground connected with the Show.

 

The Centre reserves the right to cancel any part of or the whole of the Show without prior warning.

 

No Exhibitor will be allowed forward in any Class or Championship unless displaying the Number allocated to that Exhibitor as per the Entry Form.

 

The Judges’ decision will be final at all times.

 

No unauthorised person shall enter the Show Rings nor interfere with any Judge, Steward or Official during the course of their duties.  Any person so doing will forfeit any entry fees paid and be requested to leave the Showground.

 

All objections must be lodged in writing with the Secretary within twenty minutes of completion of the class involved.  A deposit of £20 must accompany the objection.  The deposit will be refunded if the objection is sustained.

 

It is the responsibility of Exhibitors participating in more than one ring to present themselves promptly for judging.  Please check the Schedule before making entries AS NO ENTRY FEES WILL BE REFUNDED.

 

Protective headgear MUST be worn by ANY PERSON mounted anywhere on the Showground.

 

Exhibitors’ ages will be taken from 1st January of the year of the Show.

 

Ridden Horse classes exhibits must be four years old or over.  PASSPORTS MAY BE CHECKED RANDOMLY.

 

It is the Exhibitors’ responsibility to ensure that their exhibits are free from any virus or disease such as strangles and are in general good health in order not to jeopardise the health of others.

 

DEBUT: ELIGIBILITY – Open to individual Pony Club Members, but excluding any combination of horse/pony and rider that have represented their Branch/Centre at INTERMEDIATE or above (Summer) Area qualifiers for The Pony Club Show Jumping Championships or any Rider who has competed the Dengie Open Grand Prix Championships or The Pony Club Show Jumping Final at Hickstead. (This does not include any other classes held in conjunction with Area Qualifiers). Riders cannot compete in the Open Grand Prix Area competition if they have ridden in the Area Debut Competition.

 

WINTER LEAGUE: ELIGIBILITY – Open to individual Pony Club Members, but excluding any combination of horse/pony and rider that have represented their Branch at OPEN (Summer) Area qualifiers for The Pony Club Show Jumping Championships or any Rider who has competed at The Pony Club Open (Summer) Show Jumping Championships or The Pony Club Show Jumping Final at Hickstead. (This does not include any other classes held in conjunction with Area Qualifiers).

DOGS MUST BE KEPT ON LEADS AT ALL TIMES WHILST ON THE SHOWGROUND.

 

Health and Safety The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone attending the Show.  However, for these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents and must obey the instructions of the Judges, Stewards and Officials.

 

Legal Liability Triley Fields Equestrian Centre nor the Owners of the land on which the Show is held accept any liability whatsoever for any loss, damage, accident, injury or illness to horses, riders, and spectators, any other persons, animals or property howsoever it may be caused.

 

Please do not muck out horseboxes or trailers onto any part of the showground and please put your litter in a bin or take it home with you.
